Avid readers are always on the lookout for fresh inspiration. The following are 5 of the most profound reads of my life.

1. Born to Run

For the adventurers, the fitness fanatics and the run junkies.
Running a marathon (26.2 miles) is brutal enough, but how about an ultra-marathon? A 100 mile race, are you kidding me? Not even a little bit. Ultra-runners actually exist. They’re an unusual and astonishing breed I can’t even pretend to comprehend. Born to Run sheds light on the Tarahumara, a fascinating Native American tribe referred to as the ‘running race.’

2. The Lost City of Z

For the explorers, the wanderers and the inquisitive.
Buckle up because this book will whisk you away on a seriously savage adventure. The Lost City of Z is a tale so wild you won’t believe it could possibly be true. And apparently I wasn’t the only one who thought so. The Lost City of Z is making it’s independent cinematic debut April 14th, 2017!

3. Outwitting the Devil

For the entrepreneurs, the progressive and introspective.
Napoleon Hill is best known for writing the best selling success book of all time, Think and Grow Rich. Although Outwitting the Devil didn’t receive the same attention as his previous publication, it’s none-the-less brilliant. Hill’s impeccable ability to dig at the root of human potential will leave you feeling empowered to take action.

4. Coming out of the Ice: An Unexpected Life

For the strong, the spirited and profoundly courageous.
Coming out of the Ice illustrates the unexpected life of Victor Herman, a professional American athlete with an unbreakable spirit. Victor was subject to years of Soviet imprisonment in the most vile and horrifying of conditions. Regardless of his unjust enslavement, Victor maintains a exceptionally optimistic outlook on life.

5. You Are a Badass

For the seekers, the believers and the magical-minded unicorns.
Jen Sincero and I are on a first name basis, or so I felt while reading her book. Reading You Are a Baddass feels like talking to your best friend. Jen will help you drudge up your bullshit, confront it and move forward. She is a badass. And if you can’t get enough of Sincero you’ll be happy to hear her latest book, You are a Baddass at Making Money is due to hit the shelves April 18th, 2017.

I would love to hear your nominations in the comments below. 🙂
