Even though I’m a Nutritional Consultant who blogs about best practice, optimal performance and holistic health, I by no means have this shit figured out. I too have garbage days and occasionally train-wreck weeks.

Now I could certainly blame this week’s meltdown on a multitude:
-
🙋‍♀️I could blame the running air guitar slide which tore my patellar tendon resulting in two months off my yoga mat.
-
🤷‍♀️I could blame the excessive stress-feasting that ensued throughout those two months of recovery.
-
🤦‍♀️I could blame prematurely returning to my mat and aggravating a herniated disc.
-
🙋‍♀️I could blame the ridiculous sky-diving injury that induced the herniated disc in the first place (another story for another time).
-
🤷‍♀️I could blame Häagen-Dazs for making their ice cream SO irresistibly delicious that I just had to medicate with an entire pint of it.

Or I could just write it all off as cheat day (cheat month), and get on with it.

Ya got me? I knew you’d be understanding. 😘

Cauliflower Mash
-
Yield: 3 cups // Serving Size: 1 cup // Cook time: 30 min
Calories: 217
Fat: 20g
Carbs: 7g
Protein: 3g
Sugar: 3g

Ingredients •1 head organic cauliflower
•1/2 stick grass-fed butter
•1/4 cup grass-fed heavy cream
•Drizzle olive oil
•Himalayan sea salt
•Fresh cracked pepper
•Fresh dill (garnish)
•Fresh Italian parsley (garnish)

Instructions

1. Cut cauliflower into florets and place in steamer basket.
2. Cover pan and steam for 20-30 minutes (until cauliflower is soft).
3. Place cooked cauliflower in food processor with butter and cream. Blend on high until nice and smooth.
4. Add salt and pepper to taste.
5. Drizzle with olive oil and garnish with herbs.
